Dubai’s dunes tempt adventure lovers, but driving on sand (“dune bashing”) needs a purpose-built vehicle and experience, and it is generally not covered by standard rental insurance. For a safe desert outing, we recommend paved destinations or permitted tracks such as the area around Al Qudra Lakes, and leaving hard sand driving to organised safari tours. If you plan any off-tarmac use, tell us in advance so we can explain exactly what the insurance covers and suggest the right option.
Child seats and safety
Child safety is both a priority and the law in the UAE: young children must be secured in age-appropriate seats. We provide child seats and boosters on request — just tell us your children’s ages and we prepare and fit them before delivery.
