What does a rental car in Dubai actually cost?
Cost depends on class and duration. Economy cars start around AED 80–130 a day, mid-size family cars and SUVs run AED 150–350, while luxury and sports models start from AED 500 and climb with the model. The real saving, though, is duration: the effective daily price drops sharply on a weekly rental and more again on a monthly one. If you will drive more than about twenty days in a month, a monthly package is usually cheaper than the sum of the days. Salik, parking and fuel — how they work for renters
Salik is Dubai’s electronic toll system: a charge applies each time you pass under a Salik gate on major roads such as Sheikh Zayed Road. Our cars carry an active Salik tag, and we pass tolls through transparently with no mark-up. Fuel is relatively cheap in the UAE, and you simply return the car at the same fuel level you received it. For parking, most public street parking is run by Dubai’s RTA/Mawaqif system, paid by the hour during charging times (usually via app or SMS), while malls and towers offer free or paid parking. Insurance and the security deposit, explained
Every car comes with comprehensive accident insurance. What normally remains with the renter is an excess (deductible) if an at-fault accident occurs — and you can reduce or remove it by adding a deductible waiver at booking for a small daily fee. We also take a refundable security deposit, usually held on your credit card for the rental period and released in full once the car is returned in good condition and any fines or Salik are settled. On selected cars we offer a “no-deposit” option for a fixed waiver fee — ideal if you would rather not freeze a large amount.
Documents: resident vs. visitor
If you are a UAE resident you need your Emirates ID and a valid UAE driving licence. If you are a visitor or tourist, your passport plus your home-country licence and an International Driving Permit (depending on your nationality) are enough, along with a credit card for the deposit. Our minimum age is 21 (higher for some luxury classes). No extra permit is needed to drive within the UAE, and the whole check is done over WhatsApp in minutes before delivery.

For daily city driving, an economy car that sips fuel and parks easily is plenty. For families and groups, an SUV or seven-seater gives room for luggage and children.
